I wanted to alert you to another event that we are co-sponsoring with the Latina/o Faculty Working Group. We will have two state legislators joining us for a discussion of the NY DREAM Act. This panel will bring together a group of experts in policy and educational research to explore the New York DREAM Act, introduced by Senator Bill Perkins and Assemblyman Guillermo Linares. The intention of this dialogue is to raise awareness about issues surrounding educational equity and the current efforts underway aiming to increase access to higher education for undocumented students in the state of New York.
