Here’s a recent video created by one of our graduate student fellows that connects the forty year history of IUME with the vision for the future.

At the start of IUME’s inaugural Colloquium featuring Post-Doctoral Scholar Benji Chang, Dr. Morrell illustrated a bit of IUME’s past, including why we held our first Colloquium at the historic Theresa Tower, how Harlem is intricately related to Teachers College, and the bright future for IUME.

I am co-editing a special themed issue of the UK journal Learning, Media and Technology. Our themed issue, “City Youth and the Pedagogy of Participatory Media,” is scheduled to come out in December 2012. We are now accepting abstracts. Please see the attached link for more information.
