Fascinating read! Foucault’s work is so vital in helping us to understand how systems of thought come into existence. Recognizing that knowledge is socially and historically constructed is an important step in one’s liberation from any particular discourse in any given moment. While we are never truly liberated from the order of discourse that encapsulates us, we can resist and where there is power there is always resistance to that power. Power is never absolute, never total and, as history shows us, change is not only possible, it is inevitable.
